Shortly after Calen's May clinic visit, I got a severe case of poison ivy, and afghan production came to a screaming halt. I was afraid to pass the poison ivy to the kids on the afghans. So in June, I didn't have any afghans to donate. :(
One day, early in Calen's
chemotherapy treatments, he
was really cold sitting in the
infusion room. I asked the
nurse for a blanket, and she
gave Calen an afghan. She said
there were people who made them
and donated them to the clinic
for the kids.
A couple months after Calen
finished his treatments in
December 2003, I started thinking
of a way to give back. I asked at
the clinic if they needed more
afghan donations, their answer
was yes!
So in March, 2004 I started
crocheting afghans for the kids
at University of Kentucky,
Kentucky Clinic,
Hematology Oncology Clinic.
Thanks for taking a look at My Project!!
